Career Exploration
1. Professional Athlete
2. Road Construction and Maintenance Worker
3. Crossing Guard
4. National Guard
5. Coast Guard
6. Enlisted Member of the Armed Forces
7. Model
8. Fisher
9. Infantry
10. Ship's Crew
Two out of the ten careers that I would pick are Enlisted Member of the Armed Forces and National Guard. Lower ranks are most likely to make around $17,000 to $22,000 a year and these are mostly privates, seamen, and airmen. People like corporals, sergeants, and petty officers make around $22,000 to $40,000 a year. Then you have the higher ranked officers like master sergeants, sergeants major, and chief petty officers that make around $30,000 to $86,000 a year.
In order to be in the armed forces you must have a high school diploma and be at least eighteen. You can sign up when your 17 but have to wait until you are officially 18 years old.
The basic military training is a good 12 weeks of on your feet. The training id free to go there is no pay for you to go because the military pays for all of it. I will be doing 24 hour shift basis with a good 4 hour nap once in a while and by what I mean by once in a while I mean once a day you get four hours of sleep or even less.
A day of life in the marines is always on your feet barely any brakes and lots of hard work and commitment and respect to the people around you. For what I have heard by people that are in the marines they said that your feet feel like you just did like 50 laps of walking up and down a rocky mountain in your bare feet but after a while you just get used to it.
The national guard is more simple because you do need a high school diploma and you’re not always working because when you sign up the only time you go out is when there is a state or city crisis, it’s just more of a civil job than anything else in the armed forces.
Members who enlist for part-time service, from the rank of private to sergeant, earn between about $179 to $390 for their 2-day monthly service. Warrant officers earn between $358 and $1,174 a month, and officers, from the rank of second lieutenant to colonel, earn between $366 and $1,366 a month. Members also receive payment for their annual 2-week training period with the Guard.

10. What do lazy dogs do for fun?

Me in Ten Years
Me in Ten Years
I imagine myself in ten years as a staff sergeant or higher in the marine core as a marine a sniper. If this is what I imagine myself as in ten years then I would most likely be living in the forest some time or a little hut in the forest. The only time I will be getting around is if I have some kind of mission or if I have to travel somewhere to do my job as a sniper.
If I ever leave the service I will want to go to school in Michigan like somewhere close to home so I can see my family because if you’re in the service you barely ever see your family. If or when I get out of the service I will do many things in my spare time like cooking or maybe even play hockey again but most likely not community work because if find it boring. The day I get out of the marines I would like to get a girl friend and get married and have two maybe three kids with a decent house nothing too much.
I already know I will have money because when I go to the marines I would go in as a corporal and that means I would make anywhere from 50 -64 thousand dollars a year and 64,000 times 10 is 640,000 which is really good because that means I can get a decent car and good house to raise a family in. Another good thing is the marines will pay for my four full years of college or longer which means I could get a good job to.
Another thing is some of my friends are going to the marines to and they said that they would sign up with me so I won’t be going alone even though that eventually we will be shipped off to different places but it’s still something I could look forward to. There’s one reason out of five that I want to go to the marines is because my brother was going to go but ended up not going because he was scared so I want to show him that I’m not a little wimp like he says I am.
